Transport Administrator


O’Donovan Transport (Cork) Ltd. is currently seeking to recruit a Transport Administrator on a fulltime staff basis. This role will support the day-to-day activities for the office with a particular focus on customs management. The role is suited to a task-orientated, diligent, and proactive person. Training on ODT traffic management system will be provided.


  • Skills/Qualifications · Experience with customs clearance procedures an advantage. · 
  • Experience with transport/logistics beneficial but not essential · 
  • A can-do and proactive approach to daily problem solving is a key requirement. 
  •  Experience in an office environment. 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers, driver’s and team and in a professional and helpful manner. 
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; specifically, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Office administration Assistant

Administration Assistant 

We are a busy international transport company based in Carrigtwohill and we are looking to recruit someone to assist the team in an administration capacity. This is a Permanent full time role Monday to Friday We need someone who can slot into a busy office environment who is quick to learn and is self- motivated. The job will be supporting our logistics office with administration, but we would hope the successful candidate would progress to being an integral part of the logistics team. 


Duties will include: 

  • Filing and general office duties 
  • Ensure all incoming calls from customers and drivers are handled in a professional and speedy manner 
  • Liaising with carriers and customers for shipping information and documentation

Requirements: Ideally 1 years’ experience in a similar role 

Strong communication skills Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; MS Word, Excel, and Outlook 

Ability to work on own initiative with good organisational and time management skills

Ability to work to deadlines Good telephone manner

Summer job - Yard/Wash Operative

Busy Carrigtwohill based transport company requires a general operative for the summer holidays.

 The main duties will include: 

  • Washing and upkeep of a large fleet of trucks and trailers 
  • General upkeep of the Wash, garage and yard area 
  • Helping with loading and offloading trailers
